Hunter Valley Wild Flora Raw Honey 325g
Details
A delicate and complex honey, hand-selected and cold-extracted to preserve its natural integrity and raw character. Harvested in small batches for unparalleled quality and a distinct, natural flavor.
Flavor Profile:
This honey has a warm, complex, and sometimes slightly woody or caramel flavor profile. A delicate, beautifully balanced, and full-bodied raw honey.
Provenance:
Watagan State Forest, Watagan Mountains, Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia.
Botanical Composition:
Native flowering gums including Spotted Gum (Corymbia maculata), Forest Red Gum (Eucalyptus tereticornis), Yellow Box (Eucalyptus melliodora), and Narrow-leaved Ironbark (Eucalyptus crebra). Simultaneously, the dense understorey of wattles, led by the prolific Gosford Wattle, provides bees with a crucial, nutrient-dense pollen source. While wattles do not produce nectar, their abundant pollen strengthens the bee colonies, allowing them to forage more effectively on the gums, for a more complex flavoured honey.
Ingredients:
100% Raw Australian Honey.
Culinary Suggestions:
Beautifully simple when drizzled over baked cheeses, or used as a rich, natural glaze to elevate roasted chicken and root vegetables.
The Benefits of Raw Honey
Enzymatic Integrity: Because we never heat-treat our honey, it retains the live enzymes and antioxidants that support healthy digestion and gut wellness.
Immune Support: Rich in natural pollens and propolis, our raw honey serves as a potent, bio-available source of antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory compounds.
The Raw Advantage: Unlike commercial honey, our artisanal process preserves the delicate phenolic acids that help combat oxidative stress in the body.
NUTRITIONAL ADVICE
This is a natural, raw product harvested direct from the hive to the jar. Given this it is not recommended for women during pregnancy or infants under 12 months.
